U12 October Round-Up: Team and Club Spirit with a Halloween Highlight

Rugby Club de Luxembourg

The first full month of the season has been packed with training, tournaments and support for the wider club: our U12 players have risen to the challenge with enthusiasm and determination.
The coaches were delighted to welcome players moving up from U10, alongside some completely new faces. Our returning U12s have been learning to support teammates with different levels of experience, united by the same eagerness to play this beautiful game.

A Memorable ROC Halloween Tournament
Our older U12 players travelled to Belgium for the traditional ROC Halloween Tournament, hosted by Ottignies Rugby Club. Facing familiar opponents with impressive skill and strength, the team drew on dedicated coaching and friendships built over years, both on and off the pitch. For many, this was also their final opportunity to take part in this much-loved U12 event.
They played brilliantly throughout the day, securing sixth place in their category: a result coach Damien noted the team had not achieved in a very long time. The happiness and pride were clear to see, providing a fantastic boost for the season ahead.

Luxembourg Rugby League Gets Underway
October also marked the start of the Luxembourg Rugby League. RCL fielded three U12 teams and lent players to other teams to help everyone get involved.
It was a busy outing in the first properly autumnal weather, but the players once again showed strong preparation, team spirit and a determination to keep going. With the first round complete, there is plenty to build on as the season progresses.

Getting engaged for RCL Seniors

As our RCL Senior teams continue to play in the German Bundesliga and Regionalliga, some of the U12 kids have been adamant to show up for them!
In all the home matches, hosted at the historical Josy Barthel Stadium, our kids have helped as Ball Catchers, while being exposed to live action from very close by. Being there on the pitch with their seniors is an incredible experience for them, which boosts their love for the sport and the club. It is also their way to give back as some seniors contribute to both their training sessions and their holiday camps!

Looking Ahead

With school holiday schedules varying this year, some players will unfortunately miss the much-loved RCL Halloween Camp. Regular training resumes on 11 November, just in time for the second round of the Luxembourg Rugby League.
We look forward to seeing everyone for Lux League in Esch-sur-Alzette on 14 November!

Thank you to our players, coaches, families and volunteers for making this such a rewarding start to the season.
