What do you do off pitch?
Sustainabilty & Project Manager

When and why did you join RCL?
A classmate suggested I would have talent for rugby, and that I should join an RCL training session. I did and never looked back.

How would you describe the atmosphere in the group?
A international team, that is ambitious, but never forgets why we play rugby, namely to have fun, on and off the field. RCL is not just a team, it’s a culture, to which everyone buys in.

Do you have a funny story or good memory you experienced in the club?
Countless good memories. The promotion to Bundesliga 1, winning the play-off game against Cologne stands out. Playing my old team RK03 was a personal highlight. As for the funny stories, many exist, but they best remain unwritten.

How did your rugby journey start?
The national coach came to my school to give PE courses, and I enjoyed it. I was tired of playing football, and a classmate of mine played rugby. He then suggested I tag along, which I did.

Do you have a pre-game routine?
Eat and hydrate well the day before, always pack the bag a day before. Set three individual goals for the game. Walk once up and down the pitch before getting changed.

If you could be any Rugby Player, who would you be?
Caleb Clarke, for me the perfect mix of speed, strength, skills and power.

What’s your best memory about rugby?
Scoring the winning try against Austria in Stade de Luxembourg, in front of the home fans.

How do you see the future at RCL?
Push the first team to compete for the top spots in the Bundesliga, while remaining the great family club that we are.
RCL is and always will be a bridge between people born and raised in Luxembourg, and those that just arrived, helping them to integrate and make friends.

What would be your advice for a future RCL player?
Buy into the team spirit, commit to the team and enjoy the fantastic ride that it is.
